Timber Windows
The IDSystems traditional timber windows are manufactured to suit all building styles and tastes; from barn conversions to minimalist architectural homes in new build properties together with window replacements.
Blending stunning visual quality, with state of the art multi-point locking systems and gaskets
Wood is an adaptable raw resource which has tremendous insulation properties and it can add tremendous character to a home.
We use engineered triple layered laminated timber, which is stronger, less prone to warping and allows more efficient use timber and therefore less wastage.
We favour the use of wood because it is a renewable raw resource. Its impact on climate change is far less damaging than the use of PVC.

Side and Top Hung Windows
For a more traditional style of window we also offer side or top hung windows providing the benefit of not encroaching into any internal space, offering slim sightlines together with the option of a secured night vent position and varying degrees of ventilation with the systems heavy duty stainless steel frictions stays.

- Other benefits include
- Wider Variety of Combinations. Top hung and side hung frames can be combined together with fixed frames to offer a huge variety of designs
- Variable ventilation. Top and side hung windows have the option of a secondary locking position allowing windows to be secured in a ‘night vent’ position allowing ventilation whilst being locked closed. Great for a Childs bedroom on a warm summers night. The friction stays allow the window to hold itself open at any position rather than the set positions with a traditional side or top hung window with surface mounted stay arms.
- Greater Security. Integrated hinge mechanisms between the opening sash and frame means that there are no external hinges that could be attacked on the outside. Utilising a multipoint locking mechanism, internal key-locking handles the systems and internal beads the systems offer the highest level of security as standard.
- Ease of Cleaning Option. Where possible side hung windows can be fitted with easy clean hinges allowing the window sash to be released and slid away from the outer pane using the clever hinge mechanisms. This will give you the ability to reach outside safely from the inside to clean the glazing and windows without having to squeeze your arm or hands through any tight spaces!
Tilt and Turn Windows
Tilt and turn designed inward opening windows are commonly used throughout the world and are becoming increasingly popular in the U.K. They are regularly specified in modern architectural designs where maximising of glass area with minimal framework is being sought. This type of window can transform the appearance of a building, providing a more contemporary look.

- Other benefits include
- Larger opening sections can be designed. Opening sections can be from floor to ceiling in full glass without any horizontal frame separation - ideal for conservatories.
- More practical means of ventilation. Standard venting on window is via tilt position. This allows the opening vent to be tilted inwards, allowing good convenient ventilation, even on windy days or when there is a risk of rain without the problems associated in these conditions with opening out windows.
- Greater safety for high level windows. High tech locking mechanism allows the windows’ opening functions to be restricted for improved safety. Ideal where there is concern for young children and for commercial applications. Operation of the window can be set via the key lock on the handle, thus allowing the window to be limited to tilted and closed only, locked in tilted position only or allowed to be fully functional.
- Greater security. Tilt and turn windows when left open in the tilt position are less vulnerable to unwelcome access associated with conventional open out windows when opened beyond their standard locked, venting position.
- Ease of cleaning on high level windows. Tilt and turn windows are idea for high level applications. The turn facility on the opening mechanism allows the opening vent to swing completely inwards, making cleaning of glass a simple chore and eliminating the need for ladders and employing the services of window cleaners.
