Sliding Turn Systems SF25 Technical

Dimensions

The SF25 system is custom-manufactured to fit any size of opening. Panels can be manufactured to a width of up to 800mm and a maximum height of up to 2600mm. Heights greater than this can be achieved, please contact our technical department for advice.

Profile

Glass panels which have been drilled and mechanically clamped and bonded top and bottom with a slender aluminium rail.

Security

The Sunflex 25 features as standard a two-point locking system with concealed top and bottom latching, operated internally by a pull cord, which secures the first panel to be opened. Carriers at the top and guides at the bottom corners secure the remaining panels, which enables them to slide to the side for stacking once the first panel has been opened.

Should access be required from both sides, as an alternative to an external pull cord, a non-key locking turn knob integrated within the panel is available. For improved security top and bottom key locks can be added, or for further convenience and security a key-lockable mortice latch lock block can be fitted.

Weather stripping

With minimum distance between glass panels, flexible wall connection gasket seals, top and bottom twin PVC brush piles separated by a twin fin seal and plastic end caps to the profiles, effective weather protection is achieved.

For improved weather performance clear ‘H’ section panel jointing strips are available for between glass panels, in addition to side jambs.

The unique clever design of the system means the standard track incorporates an internal drainage element, transporting any condensation or cleaning water to face drain outside. A special groove integrated into to the outside bottom rail profile, enables the addition of an external sill. When the system is used as an internal room divider an aluminium flush track can be recessed into the floor providing a level walkthrough.

Operating system

A top running system with a operating mechanism that consists of horizontal polyamide wheels with double-sealed ball bearings providing continued quiet, quick and easy, smooth operation and a long life.

An adjustable head section caters for discrepancies, allowing simple installation in openings that may not be level (up to 16mm).

Appearance

The supporting rails and head track as standard can be finished to a Silver Anodised EV1 or polyester powder coated to a semi-gloss finish White RAL 9016, Silver RAL 9006, Grey Aluminium RAL 9007 or Anthracite Grey RAL 7016, other RAL colours (over 201 RAL colours available) are available for a nominal charge. In addition you can specify whether a matt, semi gloss or full gloss level paint finish is required.

Complete system

The Sunflex 25 system can be complemented by the SF45 system enabling a complete solution to any room, from tilt and turn windows, fixed glazing to folding sliding doors.

Glazing

Depending on specification 6, 8 or 10mm toughened safety glass, manufactured to BS6206A standard can be used, this can be tinted or obscured if required.
