As with all of Sunflex product range, the PST is custom-manufactured; the PST has recommended widths of up to 5400mm with a maximum height of 2400mm. Contact our Technical Department for advice.
Fixed glazing can be built above the door system. Where this is required for wider openings, strengthening profiles are incorporated within the door framework to aid lateral stability.

The system types available are primarily based on the award winning concepts to that of the folding door range.
Sunflex SF65
The Sunflex SF65 is strengthened and stabilised by a process of lamination. This is where the timber has been separated into three solid timber sections, these are bonded back together with opposing grains, achieving greater durability and is less susceptible to movement. The resulting strength of this process combined with the fibrous make up of timber ensures minimal framework and a lifetime of continued usage and reliability, in addition to the timbers superior thermal qualities.
Sunflex SF70
The Sunflex 70 (70mm front to back) is a thermally broken aluminium system, designed to combat heat loss and prevent condensation. It meets and exceeds all building regulation standards for all external applications.
Available as a WS (softline/rounded) edge profiles.
Security
The PST system provides a high level of security as standard. All moveable panels are locked into position by an internal, key-lockable handle that operates a concealed, multi-point locking system to all four of the surrounding sides; this meets the requirements of the Association of British Insurers. This unique design of the single (monorail) track and operating system ensures that it is impossible to lever the panels out of the running track. In addition all glazing is to the inside only.
Weather seals
The PST is a severe weather rated system with continuous triple gaskets to the outer, middle and inner edges surrounding the perimeter of each panel. It achieves DIN 18055, Category C performance for wind loading and water leakage.
Appearance
Sunflex SF65
The natural character of wood is perfectly preserved by using Sikkens micro-porous water based wood stains (i.e. they contain no harmful solvents) in a variety of stain colours. Or alternatively the timber can be opaque paint finished to any RAL colour (over 201 RAL colours available) or different colours or woodstain to the inside and outside. As standard Sunflex timber door systems are fully finished which consists of one basecoat and two topcoats; other finishes including are available upon request.
Handles standard colours are White RAL 9016, Silver or Bronze Anodise. Gaskets are available in White, Brown or Black. A Marine environment finish that is required to all systems within 5000m of a shoreline or chemical swimming pool environment is also available.
Sunflex SF70
The Sunflex 70 system is available as standard in Silver Anodised EV1 or polyester powder coated to a semi-gloss finish White RAL 9016, Aluminium RAL 9006, Grey Aluminium RAL 9007 or Anthracite Grey RAL 7016. Handle standard colours are White RAL 9016, Silver or Bronze Anodise. Gaskets are in Black.
Other RAL colours (over 201 colours available). Even different colours to the inside and outside (dual colour) or different wood grain effects are available for a nominal charge. A Marine environment finish that is required to all systems within 5000m of a shoreline or chemical swimming pool environment is also available.
Complete System
Both systems can also be used to manufacture single doors, French doors, tilt and turn windows and fixed glazed screens. Sunflex uses matching profile sections for these products to achieve an aesthetically uniform appearance throughout.
Glazing
The system is internally glazed and can accommodate glazing ranging from 4mm clear toughened glass up to a sealed unit of 38mm. Our standard unit comprises of a 28mm double glazed unit, glass specification is depending upon application. All units are BS kite marked, manufactured to BS6206A and BS5713 standards.
